"Say something!"*

Aminata Belli is a German TV presenter, influencer and fashion journalist who
campaigns against racism and discrimination.
When confronted with racism, this German media representative calls for people to stand up and raise their voices. The daughter of a German mother and a Gambian father, Belli repeatedly has articulated her pain and anger at unacceptable conditions in Germany, but also her hope for better times, in articles in Stern, Vogue and Drehscheibe. In television interviews, she calls for responsible action and civil courage.
With the interactive media reportage format follow me.reports, Belli provides young people with a platform to take a position on current and socially relevant debates. In doing so, she consciously pushes the limits of endurance—while still always managing to strike the right chord. For her journalistic work, she was awarded the Förderpreis des Deutschen Fernsehpreises (German Television Advancement Award) in 2021.
In the talk show deep und klar (deep and clear), which she has been co-hosting with Louisa Dellert for NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk, North German Broadcasting
Corporation) since October 2020, she bridges the gap between pop culture and
politics. The programme features six to eight guests relating moving personal
histories and discussing provocative topics from sexualised violence and genderappropriate language to social media and the dark sides of TikTok and Co.
Belli herself uses the platform afforded by her social media presence to illuminate and raise awareness to promote an anti-racist discourse. As an ambassador for the YSL Beauty Initiative “Love without Violence”, Aminata Belli is also committed to greater education about physical and mental violence in partnerships.
